Our summer intern Mallory has been baking up a storm in our test kitchen, and here is one of her best efforts yet: Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies! This recipe is a twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie that makes it about 1827% better by adding bacon. Ingredients

Yield

30 cookies
  • 1 1/2 stick(s) Butter ( softened)
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/4 cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tsp Corn Starch
  • 7 slice(s) Bacon ( Cooked until crisp and roughly chopped)
  • 2 cup(s) Chocolate Chips

Directions

  • 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

    Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy

  • 3

    Stir in eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch

  • 4

    Gradually stir in flour a little at a time, stirring until just combined each time

  • 5

    Fold in chopped bacon and chocolate chips

  • 6

    Place cookie dough onto un-greased baking sheets using a rounded tablespoon or an ice cream scoop

  • 7

    Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for 3 minutes on the pan, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely

    Store any leftovers in the refrigerator
