Herbes de Provence is a classic mixture of dried herbs from the sunny South of France. This mix recreates a blend of herbs that were originally picked from what grew in the countryside. Generally, you’ll find lavender marjoram, oregano, rosemary, savory and thyme in the mix, although there is some debate if lavender is an authentic addition or not.
Herbes de Provence is delightful to add to food before you roast it. Basically add Herb Roasted in front of a food and you have a recipe. Try Herb Roasted Chicken Thighs or Herb Roasted Pork Chops or Garlic Herb Crusted Beef – all of those recipes are delicious! Adding a Herbes de Provence blend to your dish is an easy way to pack in flavor with minimal fuss and no extra salt. You can even add the seasoning to roasted veggies to tie everything on your plate together!
