Cooking with beer is fun! In this recipe we combine two of our favorite things, beer and steak, into one delicious combination. Use your favorite stout to make this richly flavored steak sauce that pairs perfectly with any Leahy’s Angus Beef steak. Try adding chopped up bacon to the sauce for even more flavor, if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Stout Beer (12 oz)
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • .25 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder (recommend light chili powder)
  • .5 tsp Garlic Powder
  • .5 tsp Salt
  • .5 tsp Pepper

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small pot.

  2. Bring mixture to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat to low and let simmer until reduced by half.

  4. Pour over top of cooked steaks and enjoy! Note – you can also add this on top of steaks while they are cooking to caramelize, or add chopped bacon to the finished mixture for extra flavor.
