Lake Geneva Country Meats Fresh Bratwurst

If package is frozen, thaw overnight in refrigerator. Once fully thawed place brats in pot of cold water with water fully covering the sausage. Bring water to a boil.  Turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Water will turn foamy and brats will turn gray as they cook. Remove brats from water and place them on a grill, or under the broiler, or in a fry pan to brown. Brown on each side for 5 to 10 minutes and turn for other side

Serve immediately or return to a pot of simmering beer, butter and onions to soak for another twenty minutes.
